DATE: November 17, 2018
TIME: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
LOCATION: Saluda Trail Middle School
VOLUNTEERING: All South Carolina FIRST LEGO League events are completely ran by volunteers. Everyone from the check-in staff, the Robot Game queuers, the referees, the judges, on up to the tournament directors volunteer their time. Anybody can make a great volunteer. Volunteers do not need to be an expert in everything FIRST LEGO League. If you’re interested in lending a helping hand, head over to the Volunteering page.
The York Qualifying Tournament will host 20 teams. Teams must be ranked in the top 8 Robot Game scores to be considered for Champion’s Award. The top 6 teams will advance based on their average ranking by the Judges in Core Values, Project and Robot Design, and must finish ranked in the top 15 (actual number, not percentage) Robot Game scores at the event.
